A POEM

Sometimes when I try to explain myself I get all caught up in the words.  Too many words can block the meaning and emotion of what I am trying to say.  I think it’s interesting that, with words, sometimes less is more. I can explain it better with a single word, than with a dozen.  A page of verbiage is insufficient in the face of a poetic line. So I endeavored to write a poem with as few words as possible and I wrote it about poetry itself.

Meaning
Stacked liked bricks
Words
Woven in a tapestry
Thought
Drawn into reality
Emotion
Sung on a page
Understanding
Held in the line
Empathy
Printed on a mind
